VIOLET FLAME EXERCISE
FOR POLLUTION

A violet flame chalice

Our earth has endured the burden of pollution for decades. We're all familiar with the effects— acid rain, industrial waste, radioactivity, and so on. Because the violet flame can easily penetrate matter, it is an excellent adjunct to cleaning up pollution. It has the power to penetrate and purify the polluted molecules of the air, the water and the land.

In this exercise, you will practice releasing the violet flame for the healing of the earth. If visualization is difficult for you, just think about the words of the affirmations as you say them.

Step 1: Preparation

We suggest that you read Tips for Giving Meditation and Exercises.

Select a pollution problem into which you will direct the violet flame. It can be something in your local area or elsewhere—for example, smog, an oil spill or your local water supply.

Step 2: Center in your heart

Go within and consciously draw all your attention and energy to the point of your heart.
You may want to place your hand over your heart to help you focus your attention there.

Breathe deeply several times until you feel calm and centered.

Step 3: Opening prayer

Give the following prayer out loud.

By the power of the light and love within my heart, I send forth violet flame into all pollution in the air, the water and the land. I also ask that the violet flame be directed into the following condition: ________________________________________
( name the specific condition of pollution you would like to see corrected )

Step 4: Visualization for cleaning up pollution

Concentrate on the image of the violet flame. Close your eyes and see this image in your mind.
See this violet flame interpenetrating and surrounding your heart. Next, visualize sending the violet flame from your heart into the pollution problem you have chosen. Now see the violet flame sweeping around the entire globe— through the cities, mountain ranges, continents, oceans and the atmosphere. Visualize it transmuting all pollution in the earth body.

Step 5: Affirmations

As you hold this image, give the following violet-flame prayer for about five minutes. Speak it out loud, rhythmically and energetically.

O violet flame, come, violet flame

I am grateful, O God, for the release of light into the air, the water and the land. I ask that the action of the violet flame be expanded to clean up all pollution in the earth. Please protect me and all those serving the light. Let my prayers and affirmations be fulfilled according to your holy will.
